Day #2 of "31 Days of Love"

Happy birthday, stranger!

9:00 pm and I had yet to find an opportunity to show Christ's love today. I had my mind set on buying a stranger boba at Lollicup. My friends and I sat there, staring at the door, waiting for someone to share my story and today's act of love with. However, discouraged after about 45 minutes of fruitless waiting, Andy suggested, "Maybe you're forcing it."

Hm. God really spoke to me in that moment. I reexamined my motives, my heart, and realized I had skewed the purpose of this whole 31 Days of Love thing. Because the day was almost over, I was seeking to simply do the deed for the sake of saying that I did today's act of love.

We left Lollicup and walked around the plaza, waiting for God to give me an opportunity to really LOVE.

I was outside 85 Degree bakery when I overheard that it was a girl's birthday. I followed her into the bakery (creeper, I know), introduced myself, and told her a little bit about my 31 Days of Love project. She was out with her KCM small group to celebrate her birthday. What a perfect opportunity God had laid before me! :) I wished her a happy birthday and told her that I wanted to buy her any dessert or drink of her choice. Although she was shocked and felt a bit awkward allowing a stranger buy her something, I insisted on treating her and she ordered a drink.

I hope Euna felt the love of God in me today! :)
